SHAWNEE, Okla. – At the direction of the Gordon Cooper Technology Center Board of Education, Roger Farris will serve as the school’s Acting Superintendent beginning Wednesday.
Farris, who most recently served GCTC as Assistant Superintendent, was appointed Acting Superintendent by the GCTC school board during its monthly meeting Tuesday, March 9.
Farris, a native of Shawnee, has worked in career and technical education for 26 years. He has been a Gordon Cooper Technology Center employee, serving in various roles, since 1995.
Gordon Cooper Technology Center is an accredited institution and is one of 29 Career and Technical education options within Oklahoma's globally recognized Career Tech System.
