SHAWNEE, Okla. – Gordon Cooper Technology Center was presented with a Big Check from the Gene Haas Foundation Thursday.
GCTC was awarded a $15,000 scholarship grant, announced in September, for its commitment to manufacturing education by the Gene Hass Foundation. GHF was on campus for a presentation Thursday.
The primary goal of the Gene Haas Foundation is to build skills in the machining industry by providing scholarships for CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) machine technology students and NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) credentials.
